EYELASH RENEWAL GUIDE

GROW EYELASHES QUICK AND EASY

Do you consider it deceptive to advertise products eg volumising shampoo using models wearing hair extension?

And adverts for mascara using models with lash inserts or enhanced in post production? I know some companies do disclose this on very small print on the ads but surely if the product was any good in the first place they wouldn’t need to use enhancements? It makes me feel distrustful and hoodwinked. How do you feel about it?

I hate it, Esp the Mascara ones,
you look at it and you know your eyes are never going to look like that
and then you read the small print saying that ‘this model is wearing lash inserts for an even lash line’
But really , you just want to see what the mascaras without all the fake stuff,
‘Cause with mascara theres no testers or anything, so if you buy it then hate it its a waste.
It annoys me :L

and yeah i saw a loreal advert the other day about hair colour and it said that the model had extensions,
tbh i dont see what colouring your hair has to do with length ?:S
I would love to do and advert showing mascara without false lashes or something.

Yet we still buy the products becuaese most of the world is kinda pressured to look good,
i rem a tie in the mags where they would snap celebs with no make up. and i guess a lot of people feel they have to look perfect so they buy these products,

  1. I agree. It just unfair to advertise that this __ product makes some as beautiful as famous actresses. Then you find out that it photo shop that works.

  2. Very deceptive. Me and my bf poke fun of the mascara commercials when ever they come on because it’s always longer and fuller then the last one, next thing u know u’ll b able to slice a watermelon with ur lashes with one wink!

  3. Ithink it is, but these days everyone is so used to it that people just ignore it. Like you get all these ‘100% chicken breast meat’ slogans and everyone knows thats not all that goes in a chicken burger. I think they HAVE to write it in small print now don’t they? Anyway, as I said – everyones so used to the world of photo shopping and things these days it’s probably just going to be swept under the carpet. The product probably is good in the first place – they just want to make it look better.

  6. Of course it’s deceptive, and sad too. There are some people who feel inferior and go to great lengths to imitate these looks that aren’t even real. I think natural beauty is far lovelier than anything we could create ourselves. I think it is our differences that make us interesting and special…how boring would it be if we all looked the same?!

  7. Of course it is.
You can’t help but watch one of those commercials and think, "Wow! She has beautiful hair…prettier hair then me…does that shampoo really work like that?"
    Unless you’ve already used it.
It gets you talking about their product, thinking about their product, and maybe even works as far as getting you to purchase the product.
Without deceptive advertising, their sales would go down.
    And they know this.
    Obviously.
    Makes me mad. x-|
